Question: The Invisible Man

Answer

The Invisible Man has been a pain in the ass lately.

Especially when I open the news

Thunk

He’s probably just getting restless like the rest of us

Thunk

Worldwide Coronavirus Hotspots. Thunk
Millions of Unemployed Americans Face Disaster. Thunk
Local Mask Mandate Banned. Thunk

Can you hear the sound of his right-hooks to my heart?

Another uppercut and I fall,

K.O.’ed

in big black letters

So I stopped reading the news.

See, I was worried my heart might break loose

and fall into my stomach

Diary Entry #23

So, it always gets so quiet on road trips. Me, my sister, and the Invisible Man all crowded into the back seat. Of course, he gets the middle seat. Then he’s too cooped up to make a fuss or be waggish (love that word.) We just sit in peace.

-----

The Invisible Man’s always been a little bit of a prick

I can’t hold it against him, cause I know I am one too.

We are both T.B.D.

List of things that bore the Invisible Man <3

Warm sunlight
Westerns

My best friend
My math class

Road Trips
Rice and beans

Tea
And taro

Raining
not thundering

Stardew Valley
Not Silence of the Lambs

-----

I stopped reading the news because I did not want my heart

to fall into my stomach

into my stomach acid

Yes, it’s a stupid excuse

for missing a defining moment

-----

Does the Invisible Man even have a car?

Does he ever get the need to speed?

Just imagine

an Invisible Man in an invisible car
invisibly driving across a visible country

My own Wonder Woman

-----

So he’s annoyingly good at hide and seek

especially when I am around strangers

But I find it cute how he reads over my shoulder

The Invisible Man is probably the reason why I loved tragedies
